Melissa Campana Crochet
On Wednesday 17th April 2019 we welcomed the Crochet installation of the Campana Brothers created in collaboration with the Brazilian NGO Projeto Arrastão, of which the Hangar Design Group collective oversaw the structural design and the art direction for installation.
Melissa Campana Crochet has combined the work, the passion and the stories of many hands that have given life to an important installation. 17 thousand meters of recycled PVC thread were sent to 26 artistic collectives from 14 Brazilian cities, sewing a powerful artistic narrative that links different life scenarios into one. An installation marked by the frames of the human connection, which reflects the power of the collective, united with the aim of saving the culture, the affection and the stories of the many hands that preserve the knowledge of Brazilian crochet.
