Introduction

The Bachelor's Degree in Product Design at Politecnico di Milano is a full time, three-year program open for both Italian and international students. Throughout the program, students are equipped with the technical and theoretical foundations to master market-ready design.

Upon graduation, students emerge ready to solve complex challenges by creating innovative, human-centric solutions that balance user needs with production and market standards.

In this program, students combine theoretical study with hands-on workshops to master the full industrial product development cycle. By the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Apply Human-Centric Insights: Study socio-cultural contexts through the lens of the humanities to ensure designs are relevant to their intended audience.
• Master Technical Fundamentals: Gain a solid scientific foundation in production technologies, material properties, and the formal rules of product manufacturing.
• Communicate and Market Ideas: Effectively articulate design concepts and successfully position them within the competitive modern marketplace.

Once completing their bachelor's degree, students can choose to apply for a Master's degree or a 1st-level Master's degree program, allowing them to delve deeper into more specific design fields.
