DESIGN WEEK @POLIMI

In occasione del Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2019, il Politecnico di Milano sarà presente con mostre di progetti, modelli, prototipi ed eventi sia all’interno dell’Ateneo che in diversi luoghi della città.
La selezione dei lavori esposti mira a mettere in risalto le qualità progettuali degli studenti e la multidisciplinarietà che caratterizzano il Politecnico di Milano.
Si spazia dal prodotto industriale alla moda, dallo studio di interni alla comunicazione, studiando ipotesi futuribili per allestimenti, auto che si guidano da sole, giochi per bambini…
Non mancherà poi in Fiera un omaggio al maestro Alessandro Mendini, recentemente scomparso, laureato ad honorem del Politecnico.

Design X Designers

Design X Designers è una grande mostra di progetti didattici provenienti da tutto il Sistema Design del Politecnico di Milano: Scuola del Design, Dipartimento di Design e POLI.design. La mostra mette in luce molteplici settori progettuali: dal prodotto industriale alla moda, dal design degli interni e dell’arredo alla comunicazione, senza escludere servizi, brand e strategia, transportation e design engineering. L’esposizione si sviluppa su 1500 mq e include tavole di progetto, modelli, prototipi e installazioni in scala naturale.
Con la partecipazione dell’associazione di Scuole di design cinesi Arts Abroad Project.

Winx Lifestyle: Magic & Design

All’interno delle celebrazioni del 15° anniversario dalla messa in onda del primo episodio, verranno realizzati 6 allestimenti ispirati al Winx Lifestyle, sulla base dei progetti elaborati dagli studenti della Scuola del design – Laboratorio di Sintesi del 3°anno di Design del Prodotto Industriale.

Melissa Campana Crochet

Mercoledì 17 aprile 2019 abbiamo accolto, all’interno del nostro Campus a Bovisa, l’installazione Crochet dei Fratelli Campana, realizzata in collaborazione con l’ONG brasiliana Projeto Arrastão, della quale il collettivo Hangar Design Group ha curato il design strutturale e l’art direction per la messa in opera.

Melissa Campana Crochet ha unito il lavoro, la passione e le storie di molte mani che hanno dato vita a un’importante installazione. 17 mila metri di filo di PVC riciclato sono stati inviati a 26 collettivi artistici di 14 città brasiliane, cucendo una potente narrazione artistica che collega diversi scenari di vita in uno solo. Un’installazione contrassegnata dai frame della connessione umana, che riflette il potere del collettivo, unito con lo scopo di salvare la cultura, l’affetto e le storie delle molte mani che preservano la conoscenza dell’uncinetto brasiliano. I progetti dei fratelli Campana sono inclusi nelle collezioni permanenti del Centre Georges Pompidou di Parigi, il MoMa di New York, il Museo Les Arts Décoratifs di Parigi, il Museo d’Arte moderna di San Paolo e anche il Vitra design Museum di Weil am Rhein.

POLI URBAN COLORS al Campus Bovisa

Un live painting lungo una settimana per Murales permanenti unici. Al lavoro 4 Urban Artist d’eccezione e 20 studenti del Politecnico.
POLIUrban Colors è un evento del Politecnico di Milano curato da Luca Mayr e sostenuto da Just Eat, main sponsor dell’iniziativa, che dal 9 al 14 aprile 2019 dalle 9.30 alle 19 vede all’opera, sulle pareti interne e adiacenti al Campus Bovisa 2501, Luca Barcellona, Rancy e Zedz. Accanto a loro stanno lavorando, fruendo di un’esperienza formativa unica, venti studenti del Politecnico under 30 scelti mediante call da un Giuria composta dal curatore, dal Preside vicario della Scuola del Design e dal Presidente del consiglio degli studenti del Politecnico.

L’inaugurazione dei murales è prevista sabato 13 Aprile 2019 dalle ore 15.00, presso l’area Ovale, luogo di ritrovo, di svago ed eventi situato proprio al centro del Campus Bovisa.

“All’incrocio tra arte e scienza, tradizione e sperimentazione, il Politecnico di Milano ospita studenti e artisti nel quartiere di Bovisa dove energia, vitalità e innovazione, valori che ogni giorno respiriamo nelle nostre aule e nei nostri laboratori, con il progetto Poli Urban Colors prendono vita in una mostra a cielo aperto. Uno spazio e un quartiere che sempre più vogliamo diventi l’esempio di una Milano giovane, accogliente e creativa”, spiega Ferruccio Resta, Rettore del Politecnico di Milano.

“Per la Scuola del Design è importante sostenere l’iniziativa di valorizzazione per il territorio di Bovisa che sta diventando un polo giovane di creatività e innovazione ispirandosi all’insegnamento di Leonardo Da Vinci tra Umanesimo e Tecnologie”, aggiunge Francesco Zurlo, Preside vicario della Scuola del Design del Politecnico di Milano.

On the occasion of the “Salone Internazionale del Mobile” 2019,  Politecnico di Milano will be presenting projects, models, prototypes and events both within the University spaces and different places in the city.
The selection of the exhibited works aims to highlight the design qualities of the students and the multidisciplinary nature that characterize the Politecnico di Milano.
From the industrial product to the fashion, from the study of interiors to communication, studying futuristic hypotheses for installations, cars that drive themselves, games for children …
There will also be a tribute at the Fair to the recently deceased Alessandro Mendini, an honorary graduate of the Politecnico.

Design X Designers is a large exhibition of educational projects from the entire Politecnico di Milano Design System: Design School, Design Department and POLI.design. The exhibition highlights multiple project sectors: from industrial products to fashion, from interior design and furniture to communication, without excluding services, brands and strategy, transportation and design engineering. The exhibition is spread over 1500 square meters and includes project tables, models, prototypes and installations on a natural scale.
With the participation of the Association of Chinese Design Schools Arts Abroad Project.

Within the celebrations of the 15th anniversary of the first episode airing, 6 installations will be created inspired by the Winx Lifestyle, based on the projects developed by the students of the School of Design – Synthesis Laboratory of the 3rd year of Industrial Product Design.

Melissa Campana Crochet

On Wednesday 17th April 2019 we welcomed the Crochet installation of the Campana Brothers created in collaboration with the Brazilian NGO Projeto Arrastão, of which the Hangar Design Group collective oversaw the structural design and the art direction for installation.

Melissa Campana Crochet has combined the work, the passion and the stories of many hands that have given life to an important installation. 17 thousand meters of recycled PVC thread were sent to 26 artistic collectives from 14 Brazilian cities, sewing a powerful artistic narrative that links different life scenarios into one. An installation marked by the frames of the human connection, which reflects the power of the collective, united with the aim of saving the culture, the affection and the stories of the many hands that preserve the knowledge of Brazilian crochet. The Campana brothers’ projects are included in the permanent collections of the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris, the MoMa in New York, the Les Arts Décoratifs Museum in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo and also the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.

POLI URBAN COLORS al Campus Bovisa

Four Urban Artists and 20 Politecnico students. A week-long live painting for unique permanent murals.
POLIUrban Colors is an event of the Politecnico di Milano curated by Luca Mayr and supported by Just Eat, the main sponsor of the initiative, which from 9 to 14 April 2019 from 9.30 to 19 see at work, on the inner walls and adjacent to the Campus Bovisa 2501, Luca Barcellona, Rancy e Zedz. Alongside them,  20 students of Politecnico under 30 chosen by a call from a Jury composed of the curator, the Dean of the Design School and the President of the Politecnico student council.

The inauguration of the murals is scheduled for Saturday, April 13th, 2019 from 3.00 pm, at the Ovale area, a meeting place for entertainment and events located right in the center of the Bovisa Campus.

“At the crossroads of art and science, tradition and experimentation, Politecnico di Milano hosts students and artists in the Bovisa district where energy, vitality and innovation, values ​​that we breathe every day in our classrooms and in our laboratories, with the Poli Urban project Colors come to life in an open-air exhibition.  Space and a neighborhood that we increasingly want to become the example of a young, welcoming and creative Milan ”, explains Ferruccio Resta, Rector of Politecnico di Milano.

“For the School of Design it is important to support the Bovisa territory enhancement initiative which is becoming a young pole of creativity and innovation inspired by the teaching of Leonardo Da Vinci between Humanism and Technologies”, adds Francesco Zurlo, Dean of the Vicar of School of Design of the Polytechnic of Milan.
